The policeman is a tall and study man. He looks very smart in the neat uniform. He is armed with rifle in time of danger. But usually he carries a baton or long stick. He uses a whistle when on traffic duty.
The policeman has hard job to do. He is often stick and serious. Children and citizen are afraid of him. He has many duties to perform. He has to maintains law and order situations in his area. He controls traffic in big cities. He goes from place to place to catch thieves and bad people.
At night he looks after shops and houses. Its functions include enforcing the laws, enacted by the legislature as well as the decisions of the court, besides, of course, preventing crime. He gets a small salary, his standard of living is low. He has to support his family with that little income.
