DUTIES OF PARENTS IN ISLAM:

The Qur'an guides man with regard to his dealing with other individual of the society. It lays emphasis on justice , trust, respect for life and property, patience, humanity, thankfulness forgiveness.
Among wordy relation, the relations between parents and children have the highest status. Islam has given great importance to this relationship.
The rights of children on their parents are that they should bring them up in the best possible manner, to cherish  and nature them, to protect them from all kinds of evil and provide them the best education and training. The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.) said:

"No father has given his child anything better than good manners".
He who is not affectionate  to God's creature and to his own children, Allah will not be affectionate to him".

The duty of parents can be described according to the teaching of Islam as following.
  • The parents should bring up their children according to the will of God.
  • The parents should teach them all the basic principles of good life.
  • The parents should help their children in developing moral value.
  • The parents provide their children good cloths and shelter.
  • The parents should save their children from every kind of fear.
  • The parents should help them in selecting their good life partners and should provides their  share from property.
On considering the above points it is cleared that if the parents fulfill their duties they will be eligible for their rights from their children.
